I am a Master Doctor and hoping to place a hospital in our fair city on Thursday. But I am not sure I understand all the benefits of this. I read that I may be able to charge for admission. Can someone confirm this? I also heard that it counts as 3 lots. If this is the case, can I get rid of my house and use the hospital as my residence instead of my medium house?

I understand that hospitals a re just a place of healing now in all the NPC cities. Is there any other advantage to be paying maintenance on this besides the fact that people can heal there? I think I will be charging for entry for 24 hours blocks just to handle the cost of maintenance. I think I will get pretty good traffic being on Dantooine. What are "yous guys" thoughts?

this is my understanding (need level 3 to place hospitals.. no one can place it yet.. due to one grow per update..)

Cantina and hospitals and theaters are own by players.. thus you can do it as you would on a player home

difference? in hospital people can heal there (like NPC hospitals) and not having a doctor there (or any other medical people like npc hospitals) same with cantina...

The hospital acts just like a house except that you can register on the planet map, place vendors and charge an entry fee (if you have the basic artisan merchant skills). I find that the vendor makes it very easy to more than pay the 50 credits an hour maintaince on the player hospital. The auto heal is a bonus as well.

Ok....

So what I take away from this is that I can get rid of my home and use the hospital instead. But I am going to have to drop one of my professions and pick up artisan if I want to charge for entrance (50 credits per hour/day/whateva). Do you know if I can have one of the citizens that is a Merchant set up the entry feature? Or does it have to be me? I don't want to give up Carbineer or CH... Or will I have to wait until Thursday to find out?
