Quite the contrary. According to my calculations, the town needs to come up with 60k OUTSIDE of MAXIMUM taxes to pay for itself when it is first created. You become a Politician for the power, NOT for the money.

How you think Politicians in rl do it? They skim off the top

I myself are creating a player city to make a city of crafters so thatall goods can be sold in the same place... If there is more than the amount of cash needed to fund the city I will look into donating it to noobs say 100000 (99.999% tax from this = 1 credit to the noob lol).

I dont plan on really taking the money for myself but i am not sure, depends if i need it, i also think that if someone can not afford the tax i might loan them the cash considering my own finances.

I hope to make alot of money through my weaponsmithing and politician will be a second job to me, therefore everyone can enjoy and if they need any financial support from the city they may or may not get any if not from the city it will be from me. Every now and again i might take a loan from the city but will pay it back, maybe there should be a loan feature that needs to be paid back in a certain amount of time

as a mayor your place is by your city.... forget going to dant and running missions unless your city is located near the mission term...

what I can tell you is there are alot more avenues for income than running CH missions.... I myself earn over a mil a week selling resources... gave up on the whole 1k resource thing on the bazzaar for 3k a pop and only sell in bulk to other dealers and archs and such.

and skimming off the top may anger your citizens, since they will all get an email everytime you pull funds from the treasury.

Also, my city is only in part funded by taxes. as it stands I have my taxes set really low, so as not to exclude the lower income players from joining us... so most of the funds for the city come from my personal accounts, my PA, and personal donations from our wealthier citizens.

another thing, as far as income tax is concerned, if the citizen doesn't have enough funds, the system just will not take it from them and notify the mayor via email... at that point the mayor can deal with it on a personal level...

Ditto. I make all my money mining and selling resources. I also operate a bunch of vendors which any of my residents can have me sell items for them at 20% of the profit kept by me. This works out well. A Master Merchant/Master Politician can do quite well in the game. If your city is large enough, there is no time for running missions to make money.
