Militia can /grantzoningrightsto other players butMilitia don't have the zoning rights themselves. Is it a bug or am I missing something here?

The term is "Check and Balance."

It is absolutely correct that militia cannot grant themselves zoning rights.

Think of it as Insurance against the rogue militia member.

Is it necessary?

If the rogue militia member want to place something, he can grant the rights to anyone and then use /transferstructure.

The function of /grantzoningrights is to protect the city layout from unwanted structures. It seems kinda contradictory to me the person who can grant zoning rights to any player, is also the one who don't havezoning rights.

Personally, I don't like the fact zoning rights are granted to the militia at all. As the designated city planner and Structure Placement Engineer of our city, it would be far more convenient if our mayor could just add me to the 'City Planners' list and not have to have me pestering him every time I need to place/move something. (and I live in constant fear that one of the militia will mess up my carefully planned layout...)

I totally agree.. right now I have to pester my mayor (since I'm no longer mayor.. but I'm the city coresspondant hehe) to give me rights each day.. since lay down the buildings and /transferstructure

I hope the devs don't take that ability away.. since it would hard to tell players to face their buildings.. (right now it is all nice and neat)

Our Militia membersare unable to grant zoning rights to others. Is this something the Mayor needs to do at the city management terminal to allow militia to grant others zoning rights?
