Thread: So, I am an unopposed incumbent mayor...do the citizens have to vote?
I would appreciate an offical word on this please.
You can't check the standings because there's no opponent. That's why we're wondering.

Go to your voting terminal and look and see how many votes you have. It should be the number of citizens you have, assuming that no one but you are running for Mayor and no one has voted for that other person.
What he means is this....if you go to the voting terminal to check the progress of the election, and no one else has registered to vote, you know for a fact that you've got all of the votes in the city. Then , go to the city management terminal and check the citizen cout. There it is.....that's how many votes you've got. Tack a couple zeros to the end of that # and you'll see your xp! WHOA! ![]()

WHOA is what you will say when you plan out how many citizens you need exactly and you come in 100 XP short because the mayor, while able to vote at the terminal, will not get XP for his/her own vote.
sorry bungled that one...
CONFIRMED by a player...
no more than 5 of my 30 citizens voted for me... I checked... and I got 2900 xp once again the 30th vote would have been mine but that was bugged
And it clearly says so in the guides that this is how it is supposed to work
Plinka already confirmed this and posted it in the FAQ AND it is in the city guide iirc. You read both of those right?
