Sample Rich - 70k cr / week Sampling in the city provides 20% more resources and a 10% greater chance of finding resources.

This seems a little excesive to me. And what is with Industral Society and Scientific Society? Pay more just to have them in one package?

I don't get it. Is the point of this thread to just take the cost of the specialization, divide it by the number of citizens, and figure out how much money each citizen has to pay... or is it that the more citizens you have, the cheaper the specializations are?


I have this information in my FAQ btw (check sig). If the purpose of this thread was to divide the citizen number by the cost, then thanks, its good to see it all in front of you.

The increased cost of the "package" options is probably justified, as you most likely cannot be both a Stronghold and a Research specialised city.

out of curiosity, can a city have more than once specialization (and yes, I know that might get expensive)

Yes, a Master Politician can have 2 Specializations in effect at once.

No you cannot have two... Originally we thought you could have 2 at master, but it turns out the ones you get at master combine 2 automatically... you can't pick and choose 2, their is merely a couple "package deal" choices.

Note also that you need at least a level 3 city to specialize, which makes the costs on small cities rather meaningless.
