Thread: Cantinas, Theatres, and Hospitals

According to;

these three structures cannot be placed until the MAYOR has Civic Policy III. Can anyone confirm this? I heard a conflicing report that the city just has to be rank 2, and obviously a master musician, dancer, or chef has to place it.

Well, according to the Advanced Player City Guide, its level 2 for cantina, 3 for hospital, and 4 for theatre... so I guess I answered part of my question. Still, does the mayor need Civic III?

I didn't see anything in the skill tree about needing skills for those... Looks like at level 2 you can use cantina, level 3 for hospital, and level 4 for Theatre... dont' think it has anything to do with the mayor.

Thats what I thought - I was confused because of the skill tree I linked to.

what the skill refers to in the Politician skill tree is the bonus that these structures will pick up from him having that skill. placing them has nothing to do with the mayor and his skill. It's all based on the size of the city.

hey dont greif if im wrong but the way i undrstood the manual is cantina can be dropped city level 2 which is the first update if your city grew enuff
