Thread: Municipal Structure Footprints?
Does anyone know whatthe footprints for the various civil and comercial structures are?
Bank, cloning facility, shuttleport, cantina, medical center, theater. Would like to know how much space I should be saving for each of them.
Thanks.

I've been trying to figure that out myself. I had thought that some kind of tool would be provided for the Mayors to lay the towns out, but of course, that is hoping for too much.
We need to know the size of the footprints in milimeters since the citydiameters are measured in milimeters. So for example, you place a City Hall down and this designates your starting point to measure out for your first zone in the city, 150m for the diagnol or 75m in any direction from the center of your city hall.
Then you need to deal with 'dead zones' that do not fall in the area of your circle. If your structures are square, you will have a 'dead zone' where placing any structure may not fall within the radius of your city zone or even overlap. When the city expands, those in a 'dead zone' will be included but not before. This will repeat itself for all the expanding zones in your city. Basically you are trying to fit square pegs into a round hole.
