Thread: Can City (Radius) Growth be 'Stunted'?
Okay, I've got a question.
Each city starts out with about a 150m Radius as an outpost. At the top growth level (Metropolis), the radius increases to 450m.
Now my question is this.
Say for example you build a city hall near another city. VERY near. When you lay down the city hall, does it already automatically calculate a 450m radius around the proposed new city hall? Or does it only calculate a 150m radius around the footprint? If the latter is true, then since city radiuses can't overlap, will growth stunting be possible?

When you go to place a city hall, the system checks to make sure there is no other city within 1000m from your hall. (450maximum possible for each city plus a 50 meter "buffer" for each city) So the two cities' radii cannot overlap.
I wish the devs would have made deed levels, so people who knew they just wanted a level 1 or 2 (like my town) could have used one of those deeds so as not to usurp land that will not be used
But they didn't do it that way ![]()
K, thanks.
Question 2.
Assuming zoning rights are enabled, will someone without zoning permissions be able to place a house on an area that is (for the time being) considered not part of the city, but will be part of the city (assumingsaidcityis promoted in rank)?
