On this subject, can I declare a hospital as my residence if I place it?

A Master Musician or Dancer can place a cantina.

I've searched and can't seem to find the answer.

These structures are placed by players at the appropriate City Rank and Player Skill Level. My question is: Do they consume Player Lots? If so, how many??

Cantina and Theater are 7 lots, Hospital is 3 lots.

7 Freakin' lots? Yikes!

OK, an entertainer can do that without crippling themselves too badly, but a Cantina?

To own a cantina, you have to be a master Chef. That means factories and harvesters. Maybe the cantina has ample storage space, so a house isn't necessary, but that poor chef is just going to be screwed on getting any resources.

What kind of benefit is he going to get for giving up that many lots?
