Well, give it like 3 weeks or so and see what happens. The BS cities will dry up, and the ones with people in it will have shuttleports!

Right now, the cities have little to offer because of the way the Politician exp is distributed. We cannot gain exp till the first round of votes goes in, so we cant place any amminuties down yet.

Ours isn't a ghost town. You can find like 20 PCs hanging out. I suspect a lot more once we get some civic and fiscal structures.

I gotta agree with everyone. Once the cities get shuttleports, maps, and the merchants complete the relocation of their businesses to the cities that didn't try to run people out of town, the process will begin to take shape. Also consider that some of the cities on the backworld planets are just getting setup and organizing.

HAve patience, for they will be great, especially when faction bases etc. come into them.

Now: It's mostly empty, except me running around dropping and maintaining Mineral Mining Installations as an anti-griefing precaution, and occasionally granting zoning rights.

Deed Day + 7: We'll have a mission terminals, and a few people will hang out there.

DD + 14: We'll have a cloning facility. Lots of us will be hunting krayt dragons.

DD + 21: We'll have a shuttleport. Woot!

I never had so much contacts as on this weekend ... our city was crawling from new citizens to be wanting a house, looking for shops, buying stuff talking about anything all day through ... ghost town? Not here

Actually... I disagree.

Next week you will see alot of them pop up on the maps but in three weeks you'll see what cities are going to make it and not. When shuttleports come in many of the cities that build close to existing cities for the ease of finding citizens are probably going to start suffering.

Also alot of the ones that are off the middle of nowhere that do not offer a reason for visitors to visit are going to remain ghost towns. 5 of the 6 cities I have been in are near absolutely nothing, are ugly and a jumbled mess of buildings, and 4 of those were outright hostile to either opposing factions or anyone they dont know.

Obviously its going to take some time for all this stuff to start to pan out and mayor to try to figure out how to manipulate their citizenry, but so far (at least on Dantooine) I am very disapointed in the cities I have seen and except just to check to see how they are doing I will most likely never visit most of them.

As soon as cities have mission terminals, that's going to be the big turnaround for most of them. Right now there's nothing to do in them any more than there was before.
