My declared residence is in a new city. I got an e-mail stating welcome! But I'm not shown on the citizen list. I tried re-declaring my house and the system just says "this is already declared as your residence." I did it a couple times anyway, no go.

I'm still not on the citizen list. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure your welcome e-mail was regarding your house rather than one of your houses or factories? It is possible you got an e-mail saying you had a factory/harvester in your player city, but your house is actually outside the limits. Someone in my player town had to move his house because of this.

Yes I'm sure. The e-mail states "Your large tatooine house was built within the borders of our fine city." It was pre-existing, declared as my residence prior to CH going down.

Argh!

We placed our buildings last night, and now we can't join the city because it's gonna take so much time to re-declare! what do we do!

This is what I found...

I recieved a slew of emails about new structures in my city....

After a few of my new so called citizens didn't get their citizenship upon entering and sometimes declaring their residence I decided to visit all their homes personally..

Nearly half of the emails I recieved about new houses in my city are JUST outside the city limits, 5 to 10m outside, and their owners do not qualify for citizenship until AFTER the next cycle IF the city does in fact expand.

Hope this helps.

If you are in city limits and a declared resident, this is how you can fix the no citizenship issue:

Just go inside your declared residence and stand there a few moments. It has been said by the devs that it just hasn't recognized you yet. I have also heard that you can go inside the city hall and go to the city terminal and click on City Info, Citzenship report. People have stated that they got the "you are now a citzen" email right away.

*NOTE these only work if your declared residence is inside city limits. If you are on the edge then it still may not let you become a citizen(we are having this problem at the moment)

Hope this helps

I had the same problem with my city. Whats happening is part of the building is in the city limits but the building term is not. So when you declare its actually reading the loc of the building term so it reads out of the city limits. An easy way to make sure if this is it is to use the property tax system. It will show an increase in the buildingsfees if the buildings term is within the city limits if its not you need to find enough people with houses to place in the city limits till you can move the other buildings in the limits and redeclare if your declare timer is used.

Just read the problem, didnt read the rest of the posts so if you havent been able to fix this yet try this:

Redeed your house. Then place it again inside the city. Wait the required time and re-declare residence.

I made the mistake of declaring residence before the city hall was placed. I never made it to the citizen roster, even though I received the email stating I was placed in the city. Even declared as a resident, I wasnt on the list. I re-deeded my house, moved it, and then waited the required time to re-declare. After I did this, I am no showing up correctly as a citizen. Hope this works for you, and I apologize if the same solution was already proposed.

We're having wierd problems with this too. We had one of our people place her house in the city limits (WELL within) and she's not showing either, while others (also well in limits) moved their homes in and were citizens immediately. It seems rather random, but I'm trying to put my finger on it.

Same story here. I've got one citizen-to-be on the edge of the radius. I got the structure added email when the house was built but NOT the citizen added when he declared. Not a huge deal for me since he'd be citizen #25, but a little annoying nonetheless. We decided to /bug it and wait for the weekly radius expansion.

I'm assuming the two criteria are slightly different. Perhaps the structure criteria is 50% of the building in the radius and the citizen criteria is structure terminal in the radius.
