I am themayor of a city on Correlia. I am able to enable zoning rights through the terminal in city hall. But when i try to give someone zoning rights so they can place a structure, it says i have to be mayor. Do I have to wait until the first week is over for me to be able to do this, or am i suppose to be able to now.

I finally just took it off and allowed anyone to place their building anywhere. But I am getting tired of having to make people uproot their buildings because they place it in the location of our town square. (we even have a Binary Load Lifter, with the sign "Dont Build Here", and some still do.) Can anyone give me some advice on this.

A lot of people have been having this problem, it is probably a bug.

you have to give the rights WHILE in the city..

as for building in the "wrong" area...

Best solution I can think of.. make sure YOU (the mayor) have lots of spaces or your militia when you get it.. have lots free..

Place the building FOR them and then /transferstructure to that user

I believe that you can get it to work if are outside, not inside a building. Also, you could alwyas place the structure for them and then /transferstructure.

The last poster is correct.

For some silly reason /grantzoningrights does NOT work if the MAYOR is trying to give someone rights while INSIDE a structure. You must step outside to grant them permission.

I would like to say thank you times 2!!! I couldn't get that to work. Now I know it was because I was standing inside the city hall. Also, I never new there was a way to transfer structures!! That rocks! Thanks again
