Thread: What if you don't have space to expand but want more citizens!!

The land I picked out is not too bad.. but the immediate area of control of level 1-3 city are very limited building which is good to prevent hostile take over, but also prevent structure.


I was wondering can people sharing a structure (as in community home) can declare resident without owning one and still be a citizen?


This would be good. I setup several tents for now (merchant tent) that anyone have access too (well admins I add) can those people declare there and be citizens? I haven't test that out since we have space and placing home (or placement) in the area for expansion.

Only 1 person can declare per structure. If you knew this was going to be a problem, wht did you place your city hall in such inhospitable surroundings?

I'm not sure there's anything you can do. You may need to consider moving if your city won't be viable. I'd strongly suggest moving before Thursday afternoon as you'd risk hitting the city cap when trying to make Village.

well.. it is not a problem "per se" hehe.. we just have to shuffle around.


the location we got is not too bad... I hate to move it again there are expansion possibilities out there.. it will work out (I hope hehe)

You can not place your City Hall again. It will be destroyed if you try to redeed it. Due to caps you're stuck with it for the moment unless you're on a planet that isn't capped yet. As someone else mentioned you really should have thought it out better before planting. Still I understand you may have felt rushed to plant.

Well as he said he got it for the future. My town is in the same boat when we drop the City Hall it is going to be in a serene and beautiful mountaintop setting, however in the immediate area there is not too terribly much building space so it will be a shuffle to make the town look nice as the radius expands. Really if they only allowed the radius check to go over the whole of the next rank radius it would solve problems like this but such is life. I just hope we can get things straightened out before people start moving in and all of a sudden we have a nonsensical sprawling city that is worse then LA.

well.. our original planning was made.. but that was "thrown out" REALLY fast when all of us had to work.. and cannot place on tatooine (we had a nice large space in the middle for our city hall)


It was nice.. it was planned.. we have houses close and factory in the outskirts.. I love it.


but that didn't happen.


consider I was late in the initial rush.. (being at work) I had to pick other planets.. not knowing how many cities are already there.. I had to pick a spot pretty quick (we took over 1 hour looking) there were other nicer flat areas but PA were already there. I didn't want to "enroach" their settlement.. so we moved on... we found a good spot (and learn that the devs loosen the house planting rule) we clear the area of mobs (there were tons of them like 6-7 bases) and plant our hall.. on top of a nice hill.. we have 27 structure on it right now (including a PA hall, 3 med naboo homes and some factories) so we can shuffle those out and place more homes easily)


(my 2nd choice was on corellia.. that didn't work out too well either.. someone else beat me to it)


I was very happy that we actually got a city... (and yes I was aware of unable to redeed.. I had TWO city hall deed on me)


now we are just slowly building up.

gah.. please don't make me build another city hall so scary...


hehe.. I'm actually happy where I am.. just need a lot of planning and managing.. (almost another job)
