Thread: City Radius clarification needed!
At what point exactly in the tow hall does the city radius begin, and also what point in a house is a the point where it is considered "in town"?
Thanks! ![]()
Go to your city management terminal, it gives you coords to the center.
As for houses, I am guessing either a) the whole house is in the radius or b) the terminal is in the radius.
As I experience it the center of the city is about the center of the city hall dome ...
And to when is a house part of the city, I can't confirm that the terminal has to be in the city limit ... I had a small Tat House with the Terminal in the limit (145 from town hall) ... I think it's rather more the "center" of a building has to be in the radius ... whereas the "center" is realy that of the building, and not that of the lot, since when I turned the small house around (and therefor the terminal wasn't in the city, but the "center" was) the small house was a structure of the city.
Wow awesome replies.
This has to be one of the most friendly and helpful of the profession forums! ![]()

The terminal can be outside the limit. The safest thing on the edges is to make sure the mayor is there to see if she gets the email saying the building has been placed in the city.
The safest thing is the mayor is the only one to place buildings ![]()
But that's **edit** hard work also ![]()
On this map on the west edge of the zone 1 ring is a large naboo house. In the large naboo house the management terminal is all the way to the right when you go in. This places it outside the 150m ring. (These rings are accurate within a meter or two, so it is definately outside) Yet the owner of this house has claimed that house as residence.
It seems to be center of the building inside city limits. Counting the buildings in the center based on this seems to match with what the city terminal says.
rofl... in my experience it seems that if any part of the houses foundation or build grid is even remotely close to the city line.. it will be considered part of the city...
BUT.. unless you can walk into your home and still be within the city limits you will not become a citizen

Nope ... can't confirm this ... as a house I placed in which the structure terminal was even inside the city zone by 5meters ... the small Tat house was still not acounted for as a structure in the city (didn't get any mayor mail) ... when I turned it around 180 degrees it was apparently "more" in the city radius ... leading me to the conclusion, that the center of the building has to be in the outer city radius
