Thread: OMG Stupid City Treasury! lol!!!
Well out city has been saving several million credits in the city treasury to go towards getting things like materials for structures, HQ, and all that kinda jazz that comes with a city. I went to take out a million. Oh wait. CAN'T! We can only take out 50K a day! LOL So we have to wait 64 days now if we wanna get all our money out. DOH
On a plus side, out city hall maintinence is paid for well over a year LOL
gaaaaaaaaah. such a pain. But funny at the same time.

LOL, I know how that is. We had our city settled on Naboo and before we knew about the caps, we all loaded our houses up with maintenance assuming we were there permanently. Hehe, WRONG
We are now on Talus using generic houses and many of us trying to sell deeds with as much as a year of maintenance on them How are you guys making out on Lok? That was one of our choices for location, but we went with Talus since one step from Corellia and you can get to almost anywhere from Corellia.

I put in 500k to our treasury for now, and am just holding back everything else in reserve. I figure it makes us less of a takeover target, not to mention nobody will dare vote me out

We're doin ok. The move was hard, thats for sure. Its a nice change. reglardless of it being Lok, we're been on Corellia since the start and we liked the idea of a fresh area. We actually decided to move 3 hours before the servers went down for the city patch. heh No location or anything. Just a bunch of guys with back packs bursting across Lok in a scramble for a location. Miss the durni's tho. Traded them up to Kimos. Not as easy to kick off a doorstep, heh.
And as for the pesimists and Paranoids (whom which you are all very easy to spot ) when I said the city hall was paid for a year, I meant just that. Not the city and all the other crap that'll get tacked on later. Just the hall.
They put the 50k cap in to prevent griefing. Imagine if someone found out you had 3million credits in the city hall. They get 20 friends together just to get voted in 1 week, pull out the 3 million credits and leave town. Now the worst you can do is lose 350k per week.
It is to prevent griefing, it is unfortunate though.
This is how it should work;
-Mayor can only take out a maximum of 50k on his own, email sent to all citizens.
-Mayor requests to take out X amount over 50k, and the vote appears in the city voting terminals to approved or dissaprove.
you couldn't be more wrong here. While i agree, there should be a better way, if a 'griefer' mayor gets elected, he will still have the votes needed to get that majority or how else was he elected in the first place?
