When I placed my city I was hard pressed to find the 5 people within 24 hours... I finally got 7, so I am okay... but has anyone read this? http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Advanced%20Guide%20Player%20Cities

It says cities need 10 people now in 24 hours, and also the numbers for certain city ranks have changed... 85 instead of 80 for metro??? Whats going on? Did the webmaster just get his numbers wrong???

I got my letter from the authority saying our city was accepted because we had 5 citizens, I sure hope this isn't reversed because I don't have 10 yet.

It is not a mistake. Since outposts will not count towards the planetary cap, they upped the amount of citizens needed in them. 5 more citizens really isn't a big deal, and I will tell you why. What is the point of having an outpost level player city if you get absolutely no advantage from it? Wouldn't everyone want to grow to the point where they could at least have a bank or a med center or something? And anyway, its 5 more people.

Also, city radius sizes have changed! E.g., Level 2 cities just went from 250m to 200m. I was really really counting on 250m. Things are crowded already.

I think Thunderheart has posted that the population limits are deliberate, not just typos. Unfortunately, his posts aren't showing up in Dev Tracker at the moment, so they're hard to find. I don't recall him posting anything on the changed smaller radii, however. Also, I notice that (perhaps not coincidentally) our Politican Correspondent has resigned.

Devs, can you please explain why these changes were made?

Then why did you place a city and take up lots that those of us with many people waiting to get in our city could have had. THis is why there is city griefing.

I will not be a part of these squaters but you should have not started a city if you had no one to join.

That change has been in for a while - it isn't new. The radii were last reported as 150m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 450m.

Val, the bank and med center are no big deal at all for several people, its the mission terminals and militia that are a huge attraction.

Cities aren't just about PAs. Infact everyone in my city is UNguilded. Please don't hand me this crap, I worked just as hard to line up my city as anyone else, and plan to make it big. Cities grow... You are just a PA who wanted instant city. I have ambitions to make a large and diverse city that isn't centered around a PA. So back off.

TH's post on the changes:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=11108

PLEASE go post and let your voice be heard on this one. It's in the development forum, not announcements, so there may remain some shred of hope that they'll reconsider some of these changes. (For those without cities atm, I'm not against raising the cap or finding new ways to allow everyone to have their own city, but I'm *not* convinced that this is the right way to do so...)

We SERIOUSLY need an answer ASAP on this!!! I placed a hall and have 7 citizens so far. We figured there's time to grow now. Tell us PLEASE if this means my hall will go poof next week if I don't have 10 people by then!

We will all be very angry if the plans you told us we could make are now dashed and all those resources and cash I spent are going to go poof.
