Say I have 15 people in my city, but only 10 get around to actually voting. The rule is that the incumbent mayor gets the votes. Are these real votes that count toward xp?

Thanks.

yup.. right now I want to change out mayor.. so I can pursue other things.. I only became politician if no one else wanted the job in our PA

so any new people coming have to physically vote for the other mayor... once he is mayor.. all vote are automactically for him unless you manually change it.

So once they vote... and if they want to keep the same candidate from week to week they never have to vote ever again?

If they are voting for someone running against the incumbent, they would have to vote every week. If they want to keep the incumbent (i.e. current) mayor, they never have to vote.

That is actually a shame. I don't want to be a Mayor just because people were just too disinterested to vote. We get enough of that in real life. This makes the challenger have a much harder shot. Not only will they need to make people know who they are, they need to make those people care enough to vote.

In cities with a populace planned well before this went Live, that's not that hard, particularly when you're adhering to a plan. However, future cities that come assynchronously will find it tougher.
