Thread: unwanted citizen
Diplomacy is always the best place to start. Ask them to leave nicely before starting down the road of taxes, /warn, and such. Harvesters are usually only in one spot for 5-8 days unless a new resource shifts in the same spot. Houses and factories are more permanent.
Is there any reason this citizen is unwanted though? You get his vote each week and unless he is causing problems why not just let him stay?

I'd like to know about this one. The player city where my house is has a similar way of thinking. It's a collection of four guilds and the leader of my guild has a real hair up his buns about keeping the city secret.
I hasten to add that the city was built very close to one of the most popular dungeons in the game. When I pointed out that it makes little sense to build a "secret" city next to such a popular attraction, I was simply told "We can't announce the city yet!" as if I had proposed otherwise. The reasons for keeping the city secret right now are 1. to keep out undesirables and 2. urban planning. In that case, I suppose this city will be secret forever, as AFAIK there is no way to keep a person from plopping down his house in a city.
Oh, have I mentioned that I see people who are not in one of the four guilds wandering through our "secret" city all the time? Sheesh.
The mayor can always turn on zoning rights to keep people from just plopping down house. I have zoning rights turned on just to keep people from placing houses in reserved areas, I'll let anyone place a house in the "housing district"

is there a way to get people of your city after they declare residency, like house factory and harvestors?
anyone know how to do that?
thanks
