Ok, the firstday that the city hall was placed I ran 5k through the wilderness and declared my residence. I then checked and I was out of the 150 meter radius of the city hall. So this week I receive a mail welcoming me to the city, make the journey and check my house, and it says I have already declared my residence here. When I went to the city hallto vote it tells me I must be a resident in order to vote. What am I missing here? Do I need to wait until next week to vote? Should I not have declared residence before I was officially in the city radius? Is this just another bug in the game? Or is there something else that I must do? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

if you have already declaired residency (as it seems you have) before your house was inside the city which grew to include your house, all you should have to do to become a citizan is to walk into your house. you should get an e-mail at that point.

if this has not happened then there is a problem. i dont know if this is something that others have come accross (i havnt).. but maybe the best idea is to lift the house and put it down again (mindfull of the 24 hour timer on delairing residence).. or you can send a csr ticket (please wait 6 - 8 weeks for someone to read it).

We have the same problem. After the city expanded, I received emails for all the homes which were now in the radius. Also received emails for new citizens. 11 structures, however, have owners who did not become citizens. Entering their homes did not solve it.

We also have new citizens, who when they try to vote, are told they are not citizens, yet they are listen on the citizen registry.

I have submitted a csr ticket on this.

Thanks for the help guys. Redeeding the house really isn't an option at this point, especially considering that it may not fix the problem. I've got well over 100 items in the house, my bank is almost full, and my inventory is cramped as it is. *sigh* Guess I'll just have to report this. Again, thanks for the replies.

I had to hit declare a few timed, even though it said I was allready a residance. you may also try logging out in the house when server maint is done, this may force an update.

I f the registry is listing you though, I doubt these will work, just worth a try and faster then a csr help, lord knows next election will roll around before they get to ya.
