Thread: Plinka: Question about voting frequency.
Some of the folks in my city are saying they can vote more than once, does each vote count, or are they just overwriting the previous vote they had? Since there's not another politician in my city I can't see how many votes are actually counted, so it's a little hard to know what's going on.
They are not actually voting when they go to the terminal and vote. They are registering their intention to vote at the appropriate minute (your next city update).
They can change votes, not vote at all, leave the city, declare new residences, vote 12 times or whatever and it makes no difference at all. Whatever their intention is set at when the timer expires will be their vote. If they don't cast (or you are unopposed) it will be for you, regardless of whether or not they actually came by the terminal to "vote".

Seems like a bizarre implementation to me, but whatever works..
Thanks for the info.
Simply a matter of saving people the bother of running back to the city every week, if they want to hang out on another planet. Their votes still count and they keep voting for the person they are obviously happy with, without them ever having to lift a finger.
Its just a matter of convenience. If everyone was forced to run back and vote every week for fear of some otherpolitician getting 1 vote and winning the election, that'd just annoy everyone.
