Thread: Question about voting
If I am the current mayor and have already 15 votes, and a new politician registers to vote and I want that person to become the next mayor of the city. If I surrender the politician class will the politician that is running for mayor get my 15 votes?
The issue we have is that I was only one available to log in once the patch went live and the "planned" politician still needed some mroe AP exp. Now that he's politician we want him to take over but somehow ppl werent paing attention to the emails I sent out and voted for me instead of the "planned politician". I don;t want to be mayor next week so If I surrender the class will the new politician get my votes?
If i surrender the politician class now will we loose our city?
anyone have any info on this?
If i surrender the politician class before the new mayor is voted into office will he get my votes and will the city hall still stay placed?
I dont think anyone has had the opportunity to test this... there were not very many player cities on test and this is a pretty rare ciscumstance. I dont know what the mayor would do to actually "resign" his post, and to be honest if I were you I would be worried about the city hall explosing if you just up and drop the class alltogether.
I would just work hard with your citizens to make sure that everyone votes and that they all vote for the replacement ![]()
The easiest way to switch the mayors over is to make sure that next week, the other guy runs, and everyone votes for him, after that you'll be out of office, can get rid of the skill, and no-one will need to 'manually' vote again.
I wouldn't recommend surrendering your politician skill, it might have a similar side effect to a guild leader removing themselves from the guild. It could cause problems with the city hall, the city status etc. Just do an orderly transfer of power.
