Thread: Patch is in but still getting 'This planet has already reached its max.....
I still can't place my city hall to make an outpost. I still get the message about the planetary cap.
Was I incorrect to think that change was going to be made this morning? If so, When will the change be made? Who do I have to talk to to get my city started? HMM??
Sigh, just another something to make me not happy about the game.
Yup, so i guess it will be december before any of us who worked our asses off get anything. No City, harvestors keep shutting down, can't store pets half the time, Great patch.

Nothing about it in the patch notes...so I guess we are out of luck again. Maybe next week
Some one asked me in game last night what I had been doing since they last saw me.. I said .. mostly waiting around for stuff to happen. They replied good thing that isn't a profession.. I said ahh but it is..its called Politician.
As far as i understood the cap would be lifted some time in December...
I strongly feel that the cap will not be lifted for a very very long time. I suspect that until player cities start to get as large as Coronet and start suffering from serious lag there will be no interest from the devs to up the limits.
Devswant to see a migration from the main planets to the remote planets to help spread out the stress on the servers. That is why the out lying planets got 25 cities and the main ones got 10.
Beforethey lift the cap the following will need to happen: First. All out lying planets will need to have their cap limits reached (some have and some haven't and a few cities have or are going to fail soon). Second, cities will have to grow to a size that a) Reduces NPC city population to the point were lag is unnoticable and two lag in player cities becomes a problem.
So my suggestion to those of you who are waiting around for a cityis to start acting like real politicians. Move to someone elses city and start shakin hands and kissen wookies and try and become mayor of an already established city.

Then I would suggest that the devs just be honest about that and tell us to get on with our lives instead of promising to fix it.

SORRY for the blank post stupid button clicking
anyway.
GREAT post BUT the only problem i have is taking over a city. That is the most childish thing to do, and very disrespectful. Basically your telling people that can not manage a city of 10 people to invade a larger city and try to maintain a city of 30-40 or more. PLUS that takes away from the xp of the politician of the new city if your invading and do not have enough votes to win so you are hurting the city more than helping. I'm all for small cities merging. But not if the old mayor that couldn't run a city thinks they can run our city of 30 and only end up harming the city more than helping by taking away the most valuable item of politician XP.
