Thread: Honeymoon is over Plinka...
You've done a great job communicating the various changes and implementations to Player Cities.
Now the honeymoon is over and it is time to step up and represent us.
This poorly communicated "database issue" will go down very badly for all the reasons posted on this forum.
The veiled reason is simple. Too many people are living on too few planets.
Let's come up with some better implementations of city distribution to achieve what the programmers want on the back-end: less load on key subservers.
Some ideas could include raising the cost of cities on the most desirable worlds or perhaps making the buffer between cities much larger. I am sure the intelligent folks here on this forum can come up with more ideas to fix this new issue.

Plinka gone very quiet at a time a proffesion needs their correspondant the most. Stand up and be counted for us as the patch looks like its due to go live tommorow with this un thought of, ridiculous limit in it. Surely you havent missed the thread below thats probably going to hit 1000 posts by end of night ?
And keep in mind two things:
- Plinka only knows what he's experienced himself, what's said here and what the Devs tell him
- Plinka is not authorized to say things he learns right away.
That's the nature of his position. He's the focal point for the community ire, but he's only slightly aheadof the knowledge tree. He's not being invited to meetings to discuss things like DB issues and such. He's asked his opinion, as are all Correspondents, and it's up to SOE to prioritize just what they listen to.
You can want him to be Raph himself, hand-holding everyone through the emotional trauma of Cities, but that simply isn't the case. The anger is misplaced and mistargetted.
Give Plinka a chance guys, who is to say she isnt trying to gather info already about this? its only been a few hours since she had the info / posted it.She seems to be doing a great job so far, and has only been corespondent for around a week now. Look at all the posts, and stickies up there, thats a lot of time put in for us.
