Might I suggest taking advantage of the Faction trainers. I know that having your faction train you is a waste of faction points and time, but I imagine between the caps and slow start Politicians are going to have because you only get your EXP once a week, you could use that little extra bump at the beginning to out do the other guy and earn some votes. So start saving up that faction.

Can you exchange faction points for Politician points? I'm just asking

In the politician FAQ it says that faction may not be traded for PXP.

I am guessing you can because you can trade for any other proffesion XP. Being the first person to be able to lay down a med center, shuttle port, or merchant shops will definantly earn you some votes. Plus you'll get to avoid the mad politicalcompition that will evolve from Caps.

How about this, instead of trying to powergamer grind everything, play the game like it's meant to be played. I am so happy that the devs finally made a profession that can't be dominated by powergamers. You actually need to talk to people and wait to get XP, there are no macros for this one people.
