Thread: HELP! How can I forbidden someone to place their buildings in my town?

I did about 12 hours of forum reading pre patch, lost the foot race to my town 4500m out , so i dont get my town.. Then we get people asking basic questions like this that have a city? Sorry if this is offensive. But, pretty frustrated at this kind of thing.

Is there a way to disallow them?
I mean Iam the Mayor, can anybody just come and place their buildings????

On your city hall terminal (left room as you face the stage) there is an option to Enable Zoning. Once you do that anyone who wants to build anything in your city must be given zoning rights by you. To do that, be in the city but outside of any building. Target the person you want to grant rights to and type /grantzoningrights. That gives them rights for 24 hours.
