let me start off by saying that i wasnt one of the first 10 on a starting planit...so i had to move...i have a city on dant...was only able to place on last fri....wehn i placed it was FRI at 3:00...keep that in mind

now im prity shure it was stated but it takes 7 day from time of placement before the first election...well its friday and my election wont be taking place at 3:00..it wont happen till about 11:30....when i noticed this i thought it was odd ,or a bug....but my theroy is this

citys dont take into account "server down time" so in esence it adds hours to the time span that the election/resize takes...

if im wrong please tell me...i think im right thoe...=)

Good theory! was wondering why our election happened a bit after midnight when we placed our hall about 5m or so.

yes, im european so patches happen during my day time, the time before and after the server down times do remain the same, so every downtime basicly does 'pause' the city cycle

yeah...and also that means that your election days will change....basicly add one hour every day from the day you placed

I do believe this information has existed on this forum for quite sometime. And yes, it's because of Server Downtime.

Read, people.

Well, I have been here since the politician forum was created and I never heard of this before. I guessed as much, but did not now for sure. Harvesters and such keep ticking during downtime, but cities does not, weird.

My countdown timer started at elections happening at 3:30am Friday night/saturday morning. Now because of various server downtiome and possibly rollbacks as well, the event is scheduled to happen DURING the server downtowm in the morning I'm REALLY hoping this doesn't cause problems.
