So we have /gu (guild chat). What about /city?

The chat server seems to be taking a beating since time began (well, ok, a few months). When it works, we always end up creating a channel for our city (/tian for Tian Bay). We're pretty much a city that never completely sleeps, so the channel can actually be on all the time. Theoretically.

But this may induce undo stress on the chat server with people constantly creating and destroying channels.

So could we get a specific channel for player cities? It would automatically be open to all current citizens registered at City Hall. Moderator functions would go to the current Mayor, and it would default to being a Private channel (though the Mayor could change that).

What do you think?

i have posted threads on this myself (see post history), surposrted others who also post on this idea, sent private messages to ppl like justg and TH and not a single person that matters have posted or replyed.

I'm with you guys on this one...

but before they start a CITY chat I wish they would fix the existing chats...

My guild chat works say 2 of the 7 days each week

very annoying... oh well
