Very weird
I have noticed that the entire radius check system is buggy. I will get emails stating structures are inside the radius, but when the citizen-to-be declares there they aren't considered as a citizen... So they have to redeed and move the house a bit, and redeclare 24 hours later...
How hard is it to get a consistent radius check- there is already an x-y coordinate system... ![]()
Actually, the distance determining the radius of a city is measured from the center of the City Hall. If you stand dead center in the main room of City Hall you can then walk 149 meters in any direction and remain within the city limits (for an outpost). The distance is measured from the center of one building to the center of another building.
This was determined after dropping several houses in my city (at a great cost in maintenance). We used varying sizes of houses, and in each case, as long as the center of the house as within the city's limits, it was a valid structure.
Even if the Structure Management Terminal is at 160m, as long as the center of the house is no futher than 149m from the center of City Hall, the house is within the city.
