Thread: City Hall bug list
If you see any, please post them.
I have: 1) placed a data terminal next to the door to one of the rooms in the city hall (the wall terminal not the standup) and left city hall..came back and it was gone. I had only placed 2 other items in the hall previously. One being a table and the other a chair so it can't be maxing out items in building.
2) As a politician knowing what your constituancy wants is very important. I placed a ballot box in the city hall (an additional one) and cannot for the life of me configure it. The text field box will not allow me to enter any information. I can select which field I want edited, but cannot edit. Fix this please.
how do you decorate and stuff?
im not the mayor so i apologize if these are dumb questions hehe. just that last night ourm ayor couldn't add people to admin on hall?

You can't add people to admin on a city hall, only the mayor can be an admin. And unfortunately the ballot boxes have never worked properly, neither have the data terminals right back to the Beta. If you want to vote on important issues, I suggest you place a poll on your city website.

I have found 2 issues so far:
1) Items vanishing and reappearing is various houses within the city limits.
2) Unable to /grantzoningrights to anyone while inside a building inside the zone. It works outside, but not inside structures

Thank you GreenMarine for fixing the buggy and bollixed ballot boxes.
BUGS:
1) Disappearing/reappearing things. I have seen less of this this morning than last night.
2) READ THIS CAREFULLY: You can prevent anyone from ever voting you out of office! Simply drop an item, and then use /move commands to move the item to block the voting terminal! As you may know, I use a Krayt Skull/Chair combo for my Mayor Seat, and I accidentally discovered this bug. I am leaving it up for a while in case a dev needs more info about it and wants to see it, but there it is.
NOT A BUG, but an issue:
1) Why is there a room devoted ENTIRELY to a City Self-Destruct button? The Structure management terminal, in it's own, now creepy room, has only two commands: Examine and Destroy Structure. As you know, you kill the Hall, you kill the City. This room is a Self-Destruct chamber? Is that the intent?
2) Merchant Tents require you to run to the back wall to spawn their contents. This makes them not as useful as could be hoped, as displays inside are chopped up by the camera angles.
A response on these would be great, even if acknowledgement.

Players who were within the 130m radius and declared did not become a citizen. They had to declare again, or pick up and drop again.
(again) cannot /grandzonerights to anyone when standing in a house in the zone.
Side note
/warn will cause a TEF and will boot someone out of any public house in the zone (not a bug just FYI)
You cannot add anyone to admin, it’s not really your house (or it will not be if you get voted out)
Some lag resulted in items in houses and in the TH not showing up, but eventual it will.
You can vote as much as you like but once the vote is tallied the last person you voted for is it (100 XP per person one vote per person)
in City Hall's while the radial menu does not show it...

does work.
Actually , you can just use a large toolbox that an architect makes to cover up the voting terminal. Works great for keeping out those pesky rebublicans lol.
Yes... Items have been disappear in houses within new cities. I've expereinced that case were some are there some are not and some are in different positions (ie initial dropped, pre-moved/rotated position)
Here is what happened to me.
Doing alot of moving as we are attempting to set up our city. I have put a new house beside our City hall and took a load of items and dropped/placed them around my new house. Heading over to my old house about 500m away, I picked up another load to finish moving, but when I got back, its as if 20 minutes or so of dropping/placing items never happened. Before I left my new building it said it had 79 items in it. When I got back all my furnature was still where I put it, but the first bag I dropped was in its initial unrotated position, and was empty. The other 3 bags I dropped were gone. Checking back with the item count, sure enough, only 17 items in the house. 3 bags with 60 plus crates of weapon subcomponents are gone (well sort of.. 1 is there, empty, in its initial dropped unrotated position. I drop empty bags, rotate/move them into position before filling them so that I never loose anything in the walls). They (the bags) were the last items that I placed before leaving my house to get more. I crossed a 'new' zone boardry (leaving our city) and it seems this bug is back.
I can hope they reappear, but have never had experience with items reapeering in houses, only in backpacks. For example, 3 days ago, I sold two weapons, put the money in the bank, bough a ticket, and lagged out at the starport, crashing to desktop. I logged back in and was 20-30 minutes warped back, prior to when I sold the weapons where I was still running into corenet. I had the money in the bank, but no ticket and my 2 weapons were back. The next day the 2 weapons were gone and the ticket was back. I have plenty of experience with this type of item bug, but none with items in house. Anyone have experience with this?
I would place a CSR ticket as well, but the CSR system is 'unable to be connected to'
