Well I know if two people run for mayor they both get xp for those votes, but the winner obviously gets more xp. So how is it possible for a newcomer to the city which has some politician xp but not nearly as much as the current mayor to ever get voted into office? I mean if a mayor with less talents than the current mayor is voted in wouldn't that make buildings or specilizations go bye bye and wouldn't this be a regression for the city not the progression they wanted by getting a new mayor? I would love to make this a competitive profession in the sense of competition for election but it doesn't seem possible with current setup for xp, and city progression. Just my humble opinion.

well placed structures will not go Poof unless the city level degrades below the required level, and would you vote for a master politician if they had all the Taxes set to 200% and a 6000 tax on the shuttleport, or would you vote for the Novice politician who promises to abolish taxes till the Treasury dropsa billion dollars... ( hehe, so 2 weeks with the current Maint fees)

This is a good question. If a novice mayor is elected, they do not have the ability to place X amount of trainers, mission terminals, shuttle ports, zoning, etc, thatthe pryerMaster Politician had the skills to do.

So, what happens to all the currently placed Master PoliticianBuildings, Militia, and Registration of the city on the world map, that the pryer Master Politician had in place?

Thanks for any input,

EVERYTHING STAYS

The only thing that would not stay would perhaps be the Militia, and perhaps the city being on the map, but everything that has been placed will stay placed and operational as long as the city level does not degrade.

We have a vice-mayor. He is our backup in case our primary mayor has real life issues. We have about 20% of citizens vote for him each week. If you can't swing that, move outside the 450m city radius. It's not hard to ride your new mount 400 meters.

I think what you will see is a lot of towns with incumbent mayors until the cities get the improvements they want. After everyone is settled in and their cities grow I think you will see politics actually occuring in the player cities.

If you want to stay in power, just make sure a couple active people support you. They will "spread your word" and keep the "townsfolk" under control.

Or just toss a lot of money around Buy someone that nice mount they have wanted, or a good weapon with the highest stats =) It is not hard to keep them happy, it is hard to make them happy after you get them mad....
