What makes you think those two houses are "griefing" you? Realize, as a fellow mayor, I have sympathy for you, but players building outside the city radius (even though expansion will engulf them) are fully within their rights ... and they just might be valuable citizens to you in the future if you take the time to talk them. After all, you say your city is going to be a "public" one anyway (although, all cities are really public ones, which is what you're describing as "griefing" I guess?) Make sure that you're not expecting "instant gratification" like you're accusing them of -- a few in-game emails of a friendly and welcoming tone can turn people in team members in helping build long-term gratification (it just isn't as quick!)

How long have they been there?

If they have been there since before the patch it's hardly griefing. In fact, YOU may be griefing THEM.

well to answer your questions the houses are named XOXOXOX and HAHAHA so that pretty much says it... we did find the name of one of the owners and in game mail has been sent to ask to talk to them about there intentions... however no responces...

to the next question they went up as soon as someone posted about our city on the forum

third it is gunna b a public city not 'public' we just want to get a good layout together and you know as well as i that if they are not close friends they will not redeed over and over for the good of the city

i realize that it is only two houses... but they did go up w/in 1hr of the post about our city and again who names there houses that cmon lets be realistic... had they sent a email saying i want to be in your city or asked a resident then that would be obvious that that was there intentions. They did not and i think we all know what they are looking to do

if another politian jumps in your town just use /setprivacy and BAM! instant no votes. GET ALL YOUR VOTING citizens together and use the /setprivacy again and have all them vote then leave. after that just reset the privacy again Bam instant win

As Mayor you actually hold all the marbles. Raise the tax to some ungodly amount and reimberse the settlers. They will be forced to join you or move. I guess if they're smart they could take all their cash out of the bank but it might be worth a shot.

I'm very new to politician, so I am most likely very wrong.

Can you as mayor, just before the votes are tallied for a new mayer, re-deed the town hall, and replace thus re-setting the city? Of course, only after you tax the heck of the griefers. Can this be done at all?

My city has grievers already two of them one at 199m and one at 240m so week 2 and 3 we'll have grievers to deal with... also a pa is talking about trying to get the town. and the stupid thing.... were gunna make it a public town... we just need the first week or to to get teh general layout and everything set... is that too much to ask after all we have spent millions getting everything ready so everyone will enjoy the city. the stupid thing is that if they just asked we'd b more then happy to add them to the city when the time is right but NOOOO stupid ppl need instant gratifacation... one LARGE house (our buildible area is very limited) is named XOXOXOXO so idk who's it is and cant do a dam thing about it but the other has there name and a email has been sent to initiate deplomacy... but i tell you this is no way to be friends to your neihbors and they will be treated as such if no replys are made... guess our militia will get lots of practice :/ or hell maybe we just wont place any city structures till they leave ... hey great thought devs! make it so were encouraged NOT to make the citys functional jsut to get rid of grievers :/
