Make it so that player cities have a private switch. A player city made private is run as a dictatorship. The Mayor must receive 100% of the vote in order to flip the private switch. The mayor of a private city, or a dictator, gets 100% of the vote each election week without a vote being held—for exp. reasons. A player city made public is run as a democracy like it is now.

Make all player cities on the main planets, Corellia, Naboo, and Tatooine public only cities (mainly because of player city limits). Player cities built on the other planets can be made private or remain public.

Ok, but the dictator will only get 50 exp per vote or less. It's harder to democratic politicians to get votes.

And you need a way to revolution.

Excellent idea!! I think that would free-up Player Cities from not wanting to grow due to fear of hostile take over to grow and show what SWG has to offer. I know our PA like many others don't want all of our hard earned credits and time invested in Player City and PA to be just taken away because of an Election. If a PA starts a City, it should be up to the PA how they should run thier City, either Public or Private, hold Elections or not hold Elections, Dictatorship or Democracy toggle option whatever. Anyway...good ideas!!

Sounds good accept fora fewthings.

1. Dont exclude any planets from this...while although i understand your reasoning, i dont think any city should be denied the right to have a government of its choosing, no matter what its location.

2. Dont give they mayor 100% of the vote under a dictatorship...dictatorships need to have a smooth way to transfer power as well...that means training replacements. Unlike a Republic based city, poloticians can still run against a mayor for polotician xp...but the results dont matter =p. Also a mechanisim for the dictator to transfer power needs to be in place.

3.In a city if say 90-95% of the population vote to change the government there needs to be a mechanism to switch between the two. That keeps the lone dictator with 0% support from never giving up power.
