Politician Archive
Thread: Elections make little sense to me. Maybe someone can clarify.
OK .. Say the day the patch came out I got novice politician and dropped a city hall. Now that city hall is in my name right?
So fast forward 3 or 4 weeks and now someone runs in the election against me and wins. But what do they win? Do they take over ownership of the city hall and it goes on their lot list? Or can I.. Bitter from losing the election.... Just walk up to the city hall and destroy it along with any resources and maintance within it? Poof the city is gone. And if I was really bitter I previously spoke with a PA that missed out on the original city creation and let them get all ready to drop a city hall.. Totally screw over the city that didn't re-elect me.
Or option 2.
I'm half way up the politician tree. Our city has a shuttle port, etc etc. Now I start being all crazy and they want to replace me. But they can't right? Cause if someone steps in with noivce politician they will lose the shuttle port and everything else they've worked so hard for correct?
This whole profession seems very strange to me. It makes little sense to tie a city's well being to a single person.
For #1, yes, you can destroy the City Hall while you are in office. As soon as someone else is elected, though, they become owner of the Hall and you will have nothing.
#2, structures stay with the city regardless of the Politician's skill. As long as the city itself can support having a shuttleport, then it will remain. The Politician skill is only needed to place it, not sustain it.
