well i just got my city last night and i am wondering how do i get xp?somebody please help

You get 100 XP for each vote you get. If you are the only Politician running then the minute your citizens start arriving you automatically get the votes (or at least that is what I think happens)

After a week the votes are tallied and you get the XP. If you need more info alot is covered in the Answers thread by Plinka

Player 1 gets 500 xp, player 2 gets 1000 xp.

so, just to make sure i got this correctly, if there are 2 people runnin for mayor, player 1 has 5 votes player 2 has 10 votes. at the end, player 1 is not going to be mayor but is awarded 500exp for his 5 votes. Player 2 gets 1000exp ebcause of his 10 votes.

Or does player 1 get 1500exp because there were a total of 15 votes and he/she won?

Unless you are of Rebel Faction than its only 1 XP per vote with cap of 5XP... :-D
