ummm they are going to remove the Cap in the first week of December update.
Plus there are more than 70 politicians per server to start with.
Just to correct you a bit (your point is still valid, to a point
).
Corellia
Cap: 10
Naboo
Cap: 10
Tatooine
Cap: 10
Talus
Cap: 25
Rori
Cap: 25
Lok
Cap: 25
Dantooine
Cap:25
That is a total of 130 cities per server. There could be more then 130 politicians but they wuld be fighting for mayor of a city. This is actually as it was to be intended.
To correct somoene else, the devs said they can increase the cap at anytime (it does not require a full pushed update) and they will be increasing the cap. They did not say (from what I have read, and I have read a lot) that they would be removing it. Even with an increased cap, I think that only 10 cities per planet (maybe 15 on the secondary ones) should be able to register the city. Otherwise every map would be cluttered with cities.
Yes there is easily room for 3 or 4 hundred of them, they just all will not be mayor of a city at the same time.
Unfortunatly we dont have player cities, all we have PA cityextentions.
It is almostenough to make me get bands of people together to take some of them over just to open them up the the public.
yeah more than 70 cities suddenly sprouting up in the galaxy (oh just 7 planets may you) isn't too unrealistic... just like being a Master BH in 3 weeks right..... WINER!
I agree quit crying and play.
STOP THE WINING OR GO HOME TO MOMMY
DEV please ignore this entire string.
I actually have a funny little story about this one...
the first day that politician came out, I was kind of excited to check it out. I looked at the skill trees and read a little about the profession (though not enough apparnetly). I saw "warmaster" as one of the trees' titles, the milita management, and so I dropped my 500 ap pts and dropped skills to get the 15 points for politician. Well...I was a little disappointed that there is only ONE politician per city. Imagine my surprise to realize that I dumped three good skill boxes and all those app pts for that, and couldn't use it!!
I don't know why the heck there is only one politician running an entire city, this is entirely unreasonable!! So, ne Mayor handles the militia, finaces, and placement of structures? This is so unreal! I was a little confused, if not mislead by the different skill trees and titles, especially the militia one...I assumed that there was a different person in charge of this , hence the different title, and this would make sense.
I hope the devs change this for realism sake, a city cannot be run in real life by one person, it takes several. I would like to see a departmentalizaton of the political skills, defense, treasury, city management, etc..and perhaps make elite professions out of them...say under city defense, there could be one position for training (master at arms) and one for say ..I don;t know...housing and equipping the militia/army with funds appropriated from the treasury department, and others too. I just don't see why other professions in the game (like marksman) are able to specialize but not politician...this would open up broader possibilites for the game.
Anyway, I am grinding away trying to get my skills back and ap pts (he he) and am a little disappointed that I didn;t read the fine print...my bad...completely my fault, and I can laugh about it now, but I think it definitely should be explored. Thankfully, my guild/city mates have allowed me an "honorary" title (heheh) of "Minister of Defense" and I've even set up a house as the "Offices of Ministry of Defense"...I guess if you can't do it by the rules...roleplay it!
