I just experienced real serious lag as soon as one of the Merchant tents on our Marketplace loaded with 3 Players in it and some furniture (2 containers, 2 Resources, 2 chairs, 1 table 2 vendors) ...

My game was all jittery until the inside of the tent finaly unloaded ... and started laging again when laoded again (When I see the dots of the players on my overhead map)

Lag is issued in very low fps, very slow tipping ... so it's more a cpu lag then a connection lag ... maybe only client side

I visited several merchant tents yesterday, and experienced no lag issues. Maybe it was just a temp lag spike on your side.
