Thread: Minimum amount of citizens to start a city?
Even though cities are currently maxxed out, I'm trying to prepare for the Great City Cap Lift.
I have found some conflicting information about the minimum number of citizens required to start a city. The official online guide (found here: http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Advanced%20Guide%20Player%20Cities) states that you need at least 10 citizens. The official ingame help (via Holocron) claims the minimum is 5.
So, which is it? ![]()

Slight follow-up - even the various FAQ's and guides supply different values. I suspect this question will need to be answered by someone who has successfully started a city with 4 citizens, or will be answered by a Developer. Wheeeee! ![]()

Thanks, Joshie.
I read Thunderheart's post a day or so after posting my question. At the moment, I need 5 citizens (and some other player city on Tatooine to conveniently collapse).
In a week or so, I'll need 10 citizens and not worry about the city cap becuase tier-1 cities (outposts) will not be counted.

This could happen as soon as tommorow - we don't have a time frame, so it is best to plan as if the higher caps were already in place.
