Thread: City Advancement
Why does a city only grow one rank per week? It makes more sense, to me at least, to have the city update every 7 days, but have that update based on the total number of citizens. So, if a city manages to get 50 citizens in their outpost, they should be a Rank 4 city next update. If this is a technique to prevent powerleveling, it is a poor and unthoughtful idea of doing so. A city with 50 citizens IS NOT and SHOULD NOT have to be a Rank 2 city just because it is only week 2.

The city limits in the same flavor as the rest of the game. Let the little guy have a chance to compete. My opinion is have some patience, the cities will grow and the game will expand over time. If we rush this piece of content, we'll be left with nothing to do again.
Im glad it takes a week. I am a new mayor with 40 people in my city and have been sooooo busy just getting people to declare residences.I have been getting streets linned up and buildings moved so things look nice rather have the time to slowly grow then all at once....I just wish i had more room or a way to see boundaries of city.
