Once a city hall is placed, can it be destoyed?

I am guessing not, as this would enable an incumbent mayor who placed it to defeat ouster by saying they will take away the hall if not re-elected, but can anyone confirm this?

I don't like how you can be voted out. It's your city...people don't like it, they can find another one. Can't push you out. Most dictatorship counties now/in the past have had the 'imperial guard' or a special guard unit for protecting the dictator. I want to be able to kill anyone that opposes my rule, just like my role model, Emperor Palpetine.

being that i am putting all of my money and my resources in to building the city i wish to be a mayor of, and probly covering most of the Maint as well

you can bet your sweet ass i'd destroy it all before i 'gave' it to someone else.
