am a "politican".

I was one of the first to get on ECLIPSE server when it went up. I immediately got the message stating that I had qualified for the Politician Profession. I learned the profession and THEN found out that I lost over 500 of apprenticeship experience. I was ghastly sick. It has taken me over 2 months to get 500 exp in apprenticeship experience.

I almost quit the game when I found out. You guys can't believe how upset I am over this. I would gladly give up the profession because I didn't realize that I needed 500 exp of apprenticeship exp.

And to think, I won't get voted in as a mayor. NOBODY knows me! A few in my guild know me, but I wouldn't get the mayor's slot.

If anyone knows a dev who would gladly help me out with my situatin, I would humbly be in your debt if you could reverse the experience give-up for this profession.

As such, I have to start over getting exp with my character so they can get master marksman. I'm really bummed out about this.

PLEASE... help if you can.

Do you charge people for training? Seriously, I've never had a problem getting apprentice xp. I've been capped for awhile and felt bad every time I had to train someone since there was nobody else around that could.

I *never* charge people for training. I'm not rich, but I think if it as helping people out. I'm not one who's out to make a buck (or credit) off of someone else for this knowledge. I just /train and disband.

I usually hang out in the bestine cantina due to the population size. It's a large city where lots of people come and go. Still, ithas taken mea very LONG time to get 500 exp.

I recommend you read skills before you learn them. Why would you go and learn Novice Politician without knowing what you qualified with? I know that if I got the message that I qualified, I would like to see what type of experience I would lose to get the skill, as I tend to spend my experience wisely. Seriously, if you didn't read the Novice Politician box to see that you need apprenticeship points (I am almost 100% sure it says it) you didn't think... why learn a profession without even knowing what you getting?

I know... I know... it's dumb. I should, would, could have done better than this but I did the dumb and obvious thing and now regrett what took me 2 months to gain.

Please don't flame, it's bad enough to deal with the truth.

Sorry, I didn't mean to flame you - It's good that you realize how careless of an act it was.

Your best bet would be to submit a ticket. I doubt you will get anywhere, but it is worth a try.

I do really feel for you because I know how hard it is to get APXP from either basic Marksman or scout skills. I really recommend getting something that everyone seems to use, like CH 1/1/0/0 or something. From just those two boxes I made my 500 APXP in 4 days.

Hmm. Well, I don't know if you'll like it or not, but if you want to pickup some music skill. It's very, very easy for musicians to get AppXP.You cango to a big cityand get in a group of 10 or so others all working on the same skills (read any major cantina). Once you work up to Music III or so, you can get 100 App points a day without breaking a sweat.

Well, I'm a little more upbeat. after a few hours, I've made over 200 exp training people. I had VERY good luck tonight. I'm going to rough it. Thanks again to all the offers from people. It was my mistake and I'm going to deal with it since I was dumb enough to act in haste.

I've learned my lesson.

Oh, and by the way... I am imperial. (imps are too outnumbered)

Here is how to get apprentice xp. I don't know about your server but on Starsider the craziest spot is coronet, everyone and their mother is always there. Go to the front of the coronet starport, advertise that you are training once every ten minutes. Talk with some people make new friends, and most of all watch the chat cause a bunch of people will be shouting that they are looking for training.

Also use the /invite <name> command, its a lot quicker than finding the person and radially inviting.

APXP depends on what professions you take, obviously you'll get more if there are more potential candidates looking for training. I got enough APXP to get Master Scout in a week and in about another week I've ended up with 550 XP. If you achieve a Master title and set it as your title then occasionally people will actually come to you looking for training because they used the search function.

Another technique for getting app exp is to notice what skills people are shouting they need, then (assuming you have the skill points available) grind that out, and then offer training in that. You can usually grind the first 3 levels of a basic profession in a few hours, except maybe melee professions.
