Thread: No exp for mayors own vote?

ok normally i can see this as being stupid and would agree that the mayor should not receive exp for voting for himself, but in all honesty because of how difficult it is to get exp as a politican we should get exp for our own vote. but thats just my 2 cents...

I don't think it is stupid. The president of America votes for himself and it counts. The mayor of every city in this country votes for themselves and it counts. I just kinda assumed the mayor's vote would count in the SWG too. If the vote counts you should get xp for it. What if I voted for another candiate but I won the election, would my vote give them xp? Doesn't seem fair if it doesn't.

Well the incumbant voted for me as was the plan so since that doesnt count that just sucks... arg.

Exactly... I can't believe the devs would go out of their way to screw us out of 100 xp, but I guess they did...

At the very least, if the Mayor's vote isn't going to count it shouldn't show up as a vote in the ballot terminal. We had 30 votes for our mayor on that terminal (he wasn't the incumbant), but he only got 2900 XP. Had I known that this was going to be the case, I would have pushed a little harder to find one more guild member who could move into the outpost limits.
