OK here is hwat happened. I was running formayor because the person that placed city hall didn't want to. I had most of the votes, when I accidenlt claimed residnece at a house that was outside the city. When I did this all the votes I had reverted back to the incumbent mayor. We decided to just let him be mayor. The voting terminal said he was running unopposed now. Well once the city updated, I was given the votes I had before they reverted to incumbent mayor and I won the election. How on earth do I win when I am not even running anymore. CSR blew us off thinking we were just complaining because we lost. God help us if they actually read the ticket. Now we spplit votes and can not get all the boxes. Hoping this can be fixed.

I think this might have to do with not being able to declare for 24hrs ?

Actually if you still have a house - it takes 6 days to redeclare.

If you redeed the house and replace it, it takes 4 hours to redeclare.

If you /transferstructure to someone and back again, you can immediately redeclare.

I think that was not a bug, depending on when you delcared.

it is kind of odd though.

It was a bug that he was not running in the election (because he wasn't a citizen anymore), and after the election was done and the city grew (he then became a citizen), he suddenly won the election. Quite a weird bug, indeed!

You can only redeclare your residence once every 24hrs. I know it use to be 7 days as I've been thru that myself, however it is now 24hrs and I have tested this twice. This includes redeeding and replacing a house. You must wait 24hrs.
