Thread: Am I mistaken? (/citywarn)

I was under the impression that warned players would not be able to defend themselves when warned. At least that's what the description in the command menu says. Last night I warned a player that was bothering a lot of our citizens. After 30 seconds, he was open to attack by our militia. Assuming that he would not be able to defend himself, I pulled out my trusty CDEF carbine (I don't have much combat skills), and started to fire on him. All of a sudden, he starts doing all of his Teras Kasi moves on me and deathblows me... Is this the way it is supposed to be? If so, how is a mayor with no combat skills supposed to maintain a peaceful city?

With a strong miltia I assume. How do you expect the person to not defend themselves. IMO that would be pretty stupid to allow something like that. I think if you are going to warn someone, you better have the guns / swords / fists to back it up. Just my opninion

So should I submit a bug that /citywarn isn't working properly, or should I submit a bug saying the command description is wrong?

Ok since fraction bases are now allowed in cities, someone that is warned can attack back. Now someone said that they have to be overt to attack back but I haven't test that out yet.

The description is wrong ...

A while ago there was a post by Plinka that explained the militia was changed so that /citywarned people could defend themselves ... this was necessary to be able to integrate player faction bases into cities (on high demand) without leading to exploits or there such ...

If you /citywarn somebody you will have to have a sturdy militia behind you ... not just some lowlife from the street (not to insult you with your rusty CDEF )
