Thread: lol can anyone get master politician in this yer?
100 xp per 1 vote..
74000 politician xp for master politician. isn't it?
who can get master...
Here's some math:
740000 exp / 100 exp per vote = 7400 votes
7400 votes / 7 weeks from PC launch until New Year's Day = approx 106 votes per week
Assuming the largest cities had up to 40 votes this week, I would say that it is possible that we could see a Master Politician on the New Years day election. Though, I fear the guild who can organize that many people to attain that goal! ![]()
You crazy power-gamers! Let's see what you can do!

Assuming a steady population of 40 (not including the mayor), a politician will take 18.5 weeks to get master.
This is not taking into account the multi-city strategy.
Let's say there are 10 cities per planet. There are 6 planets which can have player cities on them. That's 60 cities. The Politician's home city has 40 citizens which will all vote for her. She makes the rounds of the other 59 cities during the week, campaigning as much as possible. She gets one vote in each of the other cities.
That's 99 votes, or 9900 Politician xp. Just for laziness sake, let's say she gets 100 votes (10k xp).
Given that, it now takes 7.4 weeks to get Master.
Now, let's take this a step further, into the realm of the "this person has no life" scenario. The Politician now campaigns constantly and manages to get 10 votes in each city, and raises the population of her own to 80 citizens, all of whom vote for her. 59 x 10 = 590 + 80 = 670 x 100 = 67000. At that rate, a Politician could make Master in TWO WEEKS. Of course, this is an extreme scenario that would require a LOT of work on the part of the Politician.
But come ON people....do you think Presidents get elected solely from campaigning in one city?
This is not taking into account the multi-city strategy.
You can only run for mayor as citizen of the city ... you can only be citizen of one city ... there is no "multi-city strategy"
I also made a plan (with pretty optimistic numbers) with which I might master in 7 weeks ... You have to take into account, however, that in the first 2-3 elections you won't get 100 votes (well ... we won't, since the "old" city has so many middle and large houses blocking small houses for "grinding" purposes). So the plan is 40(I)->75(II)->100(III)->125(IV)->150(V) citizens ... which isn't that far off as we already had 110 without being registered to the map ... and of course without shuttle or specialisation.
You actually did the math wrong. It's 1000 + 2500 + 5000 + 10000x 4 = 74000 / 100 = 740, not 7400.

Haha. Whoops, but the end math is still the same. I just typed one too many zeros there!
The final answer is still valid.

Not sure about this. I got Novice Politician, put myself on the ballot for my city, then surrendered the profession. I was still on the ballot, and still got politician xp from the votes.
