Thread: Devs! Jaspor Chooses to Cheat
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I don't see how doing this is an exploit - IT IS PART OF THE GAME - that is whole point of cities - people will either use their political skills to negotiate a settlement, or there will be war- just like in real life.
This obviously cannot be compared to someone using a command-line command that was obviously never intended!
Anyway, it doesn't matter what people think - Plinka has spoken and the doors on that City Hall will opening any minute now!

in NO REAL LIFE you can come with hordes and settle around in any small town without the citizens consent, at your whim. you are just trying to justify the HOSTILE takeover, which is an ugly and disgusting act, however there are not any example to it in real life. try to come and build at your whim in a county without contacting the municipality and getting building permit. youll be running from courtroom to courtroom for your act.

Iebas, as the representative of your guild you are responsible for their behavior. That was the intent of that comment. My apologies if you misunderstood or I was not clear...in re-reading I see that I was notconciseenough in my verbage. HOWEVER, the issue remains. We both know it happened. My guild has a very clear code of conduct and this is not permitted. Are you telling me that your does NOT? The verbal harassment stops or CSRs will be contacted. My wife is much less tolerant of this than anyone else I know and she WILL file a complaint if it happens again. Once more, you have my apologies for a poorly worded statement, Not everyone is always as clear as they would like.
As far as a dictatorly post, thank you, I am Imperial after all.

But no, that is not the case. Automatic residence completely castrates the zoningrights command and you know it and are exploiting that function. Is the an actual game exploit? I don't know, perhaps the Devs would like to look at the events thus far and reconsider their choices. And unless you are a correspondant, please don't presume to tell me it is.
I am just one of three currently elected leaders, which we hold elections for every 1-2 months. You want me to control and limit my entire Guild so they play the way I WANT? Come on.....
I was there and saw NO comments and I am happy to take a dozen screenshots of my chat log to find this verbal abuse. If it is there I missed it live.
Appology accepted and if I find the comment or you do, please post it and it will be handled if a GoA person was out of line to that extent.
The zoning rights command is confusing, I agree, but there are comments on TC about all these issues of griefing and it was stated that Player Cities are OPEN. A CSR should be responding to one of our many in-game tickets soon enough to resolve this issus. Or maybe Plinka can get the links to posts here or an official Dev comment somehow.
"but the Devs clearly don't want PA only or Faction only cities"
In case you didn't notice, what the devs want is irrelevant. If people want something they pay for that, if they don't get it, they leave. That said about griefing issues, SoE pretty much allows griefing these days, makes their CS Dpt show better numbers. You can kill steal all you want for exemple.
IMO, this whole thing is just another example of some people not planning ahead so they want to take the 'easy' way out and take over someone else's city and hard work. I hope he keeps you all locked out of the city indefinitely. I didn't catch what server this is on, but we had a similar thing happen on ours, and so the heads of the city decided they just won't expand. They'll keep it at an outpost level and wait for the idiots to move away before they expand.
Player cities are hard work, lots of preparation, credits, materials, etc. So if you didn't get one down, but are trying to take someone else's... you can shove it as far as I'm concerned. Wait until the cap lifts next month and go get your own.

This Ho stuff had better stop, how can a group of supposed adults fabricate such lies. Provide the screenshots or appologize.
I hope my Rebel brothers are reading this lie and the THOUSANDS of them take action.
So nowyou areclaiming this never happened?
Uhmmmm, hello... You guys brought this up first in another thread:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=7920&page=2
Written by hallauer:
"Liz anne spits at us when we walk by. Real Life Threats to our fellow members about reporting them to CSR's for sexual harrassment among other things then going back and saying, "ok, we didn't we made it up" THAT is griefing. Taking something IN GAME thatdid NOT target ANYONE personally and turning into in game threats about trying to get our accounts banned."
This is the first mention anywhere on the boards of the harassment incident. We didn't bring it up. We didn't make it up. It happened.
Now, please explain to me how we made up something that you guys were the first ones to actually post about?
And yes, she has the logs.
And now before you justify the name-calling by saying "she spit at him first!" let me point out that the /spit emote was put in by the Developers. Or was that a mistake too, and an exploit?
If she wants todisplay her annoyance with your members waltzing around City Hall bragging that it will soon belong to them, does that open her to sexist remarks? Somehow, I don't think it should.
I hope your Rebel brothers realize there is a fine line between rivalry in the GCW and blatant disregard for players' feelings and rights. By the THOUSANDS.
Stop contradicting yourselves and maybe you'd get alittle more sympathy.
Jaspor I am not following WHERE you are getting this Ho comment. It seems just the OPPOSITE from reading Hallauer's post over there. Man you better read that again because it shows the violations are from YOUR side, not ours. Maybe I am confused, it happens but just post the stinking FACTS.
As I asked, post the screenshots and put an end to this. Such horrible accusations without proof should get you a call from my lawyer.
Town halls are NOT that expensive. You are trying to make a mountian out of a mole hill.
The factor is the city Cap, not the price of the buildings.

Not planning ahead, yeah right where have you been for the last 4 months?
Guys, let it go. This is getting ridiculous.
Jaspor, you placed your city. They build their houses outside of your city. They become absorbed into your city. They vote you out and do what they want with the City. It is all in the game mechanics. It is what the devs designed it to happen. Using the / commands was clever but the Devs are going to remove that command for the City Hall so sooner or later they are going to take your city. Plinka said that they are going to remove the / command. Is this fair no, but it is in the game mechanics that they can.
ok.. I read up to "hilter losing his town hall"
the problem comparing with real world and game world.... that city can be rebuilt (real world) as long resources are available they can do it... but in swg... there is a city cap.
What happen when the city hall is blown up? more than likely someone on the planet is trying (waiting) to place another hall... so they did... bam.. you cannot built a new one (assuming this happen before the dev allows more level 1 outpost)
lets say you manage to built one.. no matter how many people.. how hard you try.. you can never go above level 1 UNLESS one of the 10 cities (all above level 2+) falls below level 1.. and you are next in line (probably go by place time and qualification) then you can rebuilt if you are lucky.
How long will that take? will that ever happen? What if you try to join a city on that planet and have no luck.. (no one wants you.. well.. due to bad reputation from this forum) you are out of luck...
So... due to limit of server code and game mechanics..... if the opposing forces are out to destroy his city literally.... more than likely can never be rebuilt (at least on naboo) and grow again... (assuming he have over 20+ to grow)
I personally don't think this is what the dev had in mind
they were thinking more of mud slinging and election campaign.. instead of hostile take over and burn it to the ground ![]()
