Thread: The Questions
See, now that's exactly what I've wanted:
APARTMENT / CONDO BUILDINGS!!
It'd allow us to have "landlords" who own massive houses that are actually multiple houses stacked into a single facility that can be subleased (read: administrative permissions) to other players.
The Maintenance rates on the sub-units deliver cash into the maintenance pool of the overall structure - which is paid for by the landlord.
This gives the landlord to use the remaining houses either as is own or for other players to rent. Once a landlord "rents" a unit to a player, the landlord no longer has administrative rights to those units so the player doesn't have to worry about a landlord "stealing" things from the player.
This way players could have houses without having to worry about maintenance or lots - and people looking to make a penny for owning a house could do so easily.
Wishful thinking ....

Are Skill Points involved in the politician skill tree? If so, what are the costs per Teir, Novice, and Master?
Is there any possibility of getting the ability to 'recruit' a Faction Recruiter, to go with the Faction Mission Terminals?
I know it kinda makes bases obsolete, but for those that want to do more PvE type faction stuff, this would be perfect. No need to constantly worry about your base being destroyed, yet still allowing you to support your faction.
My question is about the footprint sizes for city structures (including player placed ones).
I have been led to believe that these are the sizes:
City Hall 7x10
med centre(hospital) 5x5
cloning centre 5x5
bank 7x7
cantina 7x7
shuttle port 5x7
Large garden 7x7
I am just wanting to confirm that these are accurate.
Thanks Quagga.
What's the incentive for people who currently live the minimum distance from a current city?
They don't pay residency taxes, don't pay lot maintenance tax, don't pay sales tax on any vendors they might or might not have.
Are errr, "NPC Cities" going to have standard taxes as well for bazaar and other transactions?
Otherwise it seems like unless the city you end up in has no sales tax that you're not gaining much from a player city persepctive, other than having people wander by, but if you're already established and have a good customer base, that's hardly a concern.
Are people able to see the actions that the town mayor has performed?
If the cantina always gets funding, but the shuttleport doesn't and gets shut down, how can people know that it's because the mayor decided not to pay for something?
Just Curious,

I have gone through the questions posted but I did not see this one answered. I might have overlooked it but here it is, Where will the Politician trainer be, city, planets? This is a critical question because On my server there is going to be a land war and we need to know where he is going to be located.
What are ALL the requirements for a shuttleport in a city. I know you need a lvl 4 cuty. I know you need 50 declared residents, but do you ALSO need to be more then 3000 meters from another shuttleport.
Is it one, another, or all these requirements?
Here is one that has been bothering for some time.
Lets say you have 2 small cities within the same area...500m apart to be exact. Both are trying to go for the town hall. How do you go about placing yours first?! Will it require NOVICE POLITICIAN with a TOWN HALL on hand, or will there have to be votes...well how can there be without town hall?
Plinka, it looks like you have your work cut out for you with all of the questions, so I'll make mine short and simple:
1. Will anyone (politicians included) be able to tell how a particular citizen has voted, or will the voting be secret?
2. Will anyone be able to tell who has participated in the election and who has allowed their vote to default?
I'm hoping that the votes will be secret, but that there will be a way to tell who has voted (I'd like players in my city to actively participate in elections rather than default voting, and would like a way to encourage them to do so). However, mainly I'm just curious tho ![]()
Since Politician is a "novice" profession, will one be able to find Politician Trainers with the /find command?
If not, where are Politician Trainers?
Great Job Plinka! I havea few questionsquestions for ya. What happens to the city status if the City Hall is redeeded? What happens to the city status if the declared population decreases? Can a Mayor be the Mayor of more than one city at a time? And can two cities that start 1000m apart eventually merge into one huge city later?
Thanks for your hard work,
