Thread: Politicians Without Cities Post Here
This is what i believed happened. They wanted to populate the other planets that were not being used as homsteads. So but doing it this way they sent a lot of people to talus, rori danttoin and lok.
Now in 3 weeks or so they will open it up again to naboo and tantooin. The did just what they wanted to do. People shift./
I'm right there with you guys.
But since there's not a whole lot I can do about it, I'm not going to whine. I see myself having three options:
1) Wait patiently till next month like a good little boy
2) Get my guild to take over another city who we have more people then
3) Put houses in another city and vote for me without taking the city over. This prevents conflict with another guild, and it also ensures that I'll have a bunch of xp and a few levels earned in politician by the time we get our city, so we won't have to start from the bottom.
That third one is most likely what will happen, just an idea for anyone who didn't already think about it and knows how they would feel if some other people completely took over their hard earned cities.

Our guild's politican didn't get theirs either. I hear two guilds got 4 cities each on tat and naboo for my server which is a bunch of crap since naboo was taken within 10 min. The devs made a big error...they let 5 people enjoy something and sacrificed that for a guild of 80. (Just using mine as an example) We had planned our city out for about a month, which makes this even more crap, because to get a city you could have just placed 5 houses randomly anywhere just to save you a city spot. I understand a cap is to prevent lag but if you cap cities didnt they cap mounts, its basically the same thing. Imagine how bad that would be 10 mounts per planet, its basically the same thing.

Anyone who wants to join a city can come and join ours.
The rules are simple:
1. You must be neutral.
2. You must like to have fun and work with other people - we do lots of hunts with our Guild (Darkfire Guild) and outsiders too.
3. You must be prepared to pay towards the upkeep of the city.
4. We are looking to maintain a balanced and real city... i.e. As many non-combat professionals as combat ones!
Email me in game if you want to discuss further (Delano)
Yours,
Count Galactic Liberators as a PA with a politician and a City Hall that did not get a town because of work and school and the restart time..
Little unfair if you ask me, but I guess we will just have to wait because I know better than to expect a quick fix for this cluster
I was planning on starting a small outpost with 4 other friends. Then the cap came. So I sucked it up realizing that playing a politician in a big city could actually be fun. I could have my merchant shop with a customer base and I could run for election and maybe get lucky and get elected. Then I found a city that was allowing free placement. I built my house and put my name on the ballot. A friend moved with me and voted for me. It was 13-2. Not a good chance but its a start. I then realize that unless people actively vote for me their votes will automatically go to the incumbent mayor. I made a seperate post called Voter Apathy regarding this.
What really annoyed me though was an email both me and my friend got from the mayor. We were told everyone had to vote for the incumbent mayor. We were threaten saying we had 24hrs to change our vote. Now this city is allowing free house placement but trying to bully people into voting for their dictator. NNot exactly how I envisioned democracy working.
