My house is listed within the radius. I was already declared a resident
there. The mayor saw it as such, and I received the email indicating it.

However, I can't seem to become a citizen. I have entered my home. I
have redeclared my residence to it. I have added maintenance. Still no
joy.

Looks like a bug, or it could be, as Josh inidicated, a problem with
exactly how they measure.

I opened bug 1243982 on this. I can provide full WP, obviously.

It's Sunrunner, Talus, Azak City now.

I have the same bug on Ahazi. My house is on the edge of the city limits. My management terminal is inside the city limits, but 90% of the rest of the house is outside the limits. Thankfully, we have enough people for the first advancement. But this might come back to bite us, when our city expands as far as it can, and people on the edges cant become citizens.

Plinka/Green Marine-

Thanks for replying. I just tried the methods you outlined with one of our guild members.

She was logged in when I put up the hall, and had already declared her residence pre-patch. I just now asked her to go back to our city and re-enter her house, sinceattempting to redeclare right after I had putup the hall hadn't workedfor her. She entered her house(which is in city limits, I got the e-mail saying it is), but she is still not a citizen. She gets the "you are already declared here" messagewhen she tries to declare on her house. I think a lot of my would-be-citizens are having this issue as well. Is there any way to work past this, or will you be working on a fix soon?

Thanks,

Also - I was off planet when she tried this, and I'm sure that she has been logged out longer that the 20 minutes that Plinka specified since our hall went up.

I'll try again while I'm personally in the city and see if that has any effect.

Yeah this has happened to a couple of different PA's with the citizen bug. My PA is a small group but growing and we have 6 citizens at the moment I guess I will see if our City Hall goes poof due to some bug tomorrow after servers reboot. At the time of this posting the terminal said we have 6 declared citizens. If people are losing city halls to bugs SOE should reimburse the city hall. Not the money since everyone could claim they paid 1mil for a City Hall. Btw bud you got bent over and rode hard paying that much for a city hall. You should find that architect and skull fu*k him for charging that much.

We were having a few of the same issues, but the terminal was in city limits. Had to place another house temp for the citizen to declare in till we grow next week. Seems if any of the house resides out of city limits, then the owner cannot be a citizen.

Speaking of citizenship bugs...

I had my mayor drop the city hall in the middle of a large open area. With another computer/account, I logged another character in and successfully added a small house, whose owner declared residency, and the mayor got an e-mail saying a structure hadbeen placed, and an e-mail saying a new citizen joined the town. I repeated twice more, with a third and fourth account.

While loading the fourth account, I noticed a live update - the client app was patched.

I figured something might be about to blow up on my mayor's account, so I logged him out, rebooted my system, and logged him back in, getting the new live patch.

From that point forward, when the mayor tried to /grantzoningrights to others, he got a reply like, "You must be the mayor or a member of the militia to grant zoning rights." Very disconcerting! Logging out and in again did not change that. Fortunately, other people were able to deed houses within the city limits and become citizens, as confirmed by e-mail to the mayor and being able to vote in the election.

Before the first /grantzoningrights after the live update, one of the citizens registered to run as mayor, and several people voted for him. I don't know whether that has anything to do with the bug.

While the -house- might be inside the city radius, the actual -terminal- inside that house might not be
(You get the "you have left blah" message.)

Those people will simply have to wait a week.

Can we get the Naboo PA hall bug fixed? All naboo buildings made after the last patch are supposed to be able to be placed on Dantooine which is true so far with the exception of Naboo PA halls which cannot. Made 2 the other day and neither can.

The Mayor must be OUTSIDE of any buildings and within city limits to grant zoning rights.

I must say the cap prevented us from having this problem. We moved our city to Lok and I quickly learned that we need all NEW houses. I'm kinda thinking this bug has to do with some dates, and deed types, etc. If you read the vendor description of a pre-patch house, it sas Deedable building or something while old one's say deed. probably a good idea to just go get a bunch of new small houses until everything gets worked out

Okay, we have our first citizenship bug. We had a player place her house in the radius and declare residence, but its not recognized. I still need to research more as to possible reasons why.
