Thread: Devs! Jaspor Chooses to Cheat
yea.. my PA is not as big (due to real life stuff) but we are doing what is best for the city.. even if we have to pay for it.
Our goals is to make our citizen happy
we are trying to get shuttleport (makes it easier for our crafter to get around without having to dodge stuff with mount hehe) cloning center to make mission easier.. faction mission terminal so our citizen can earn money.
why do you have to take over some else's city in the first place? Can't you just wait a little while and create your own?
Live and let live, sheesh.
There is n "someone elses" city.
NO ONE OWNS CITIES!
repeat that to yourself100 times.
main reason that I can think of (at least from what I understand)
Starting planets have 10 cities... advance 25.. this is the cap.. never ever change (unless devs decide it.. but thus far will not change)
What is going to change??? lift the cap for level 1 cities (outpost = no tax, 10 citizen)
So.. scenario
Naboo... 10 cities form (done) 10 cities upgrade to level 2.. (probably happen already) and then upgrade to level 3.... (by next week probably.. december!!)
level 1 cities cap lifted. (say upto 30) now you have 20 new level 1 cities... but guess what? no matter how many people you have..... (could even be 100+) you will never upgrade above outpost (if you manage to cram 100 people in 150 radius... major kudos for you!!! woot!) UNLESS one of the original 10 cities fall below level 2... (thus the next one who place after the 10 cities and qualify will get upgraded...
This is the main fear of many new city makers.. and will not be upgrade and pray one of the 10 cities fall.. take over them.. or join them...
Is it just me.. but I don't understand why would people don't want to help each other?
I can think of a few why they should.
1. pool resources... more people = more money = less taxes needed to upkeep a city.
2. a single mayor is better than two... the city will grow faster and allow more "advance stuff" to happen. competing mayor just splits the exp and well.. the winning mayor will get less exp and thus can get less skills
3. release other person to spend skill points in politician. (unless the holocron say... "master politician" *shivers*
I dont think that is why they moved on you ![]()
However once the door exploit is fixed we will see what happens, you better rally your votes, get another like minded PA to join in and help you. Play it in game, make it a good political fight. If you loose, you loose. It was the chance you take when placing a town hall.
Play it as it lays.
That is my advice.

Well, I would say the first qualification for tool would be that a 30 something year old came to a message board to tell someone in a game that they made you mad so you are going to grief them. Second, it appears that your temper tantrum and "justifaction" is just a fascade for the real issue - you are pissed because you didn't get to have things your way.
You have missed the fact that WE did not start the widespread bashing on the forums, but feel we must defend ourselves after this obvious griefing action. I am sure a CSR will resolve this issue quickly.
I have clearly stated before that if we had gotten our city that I would have expected another group to do the same to us, that is how the Devs designed Player Cities. On top of that if we BOTH had cities right now we have the resources to do exactly what we are doing to Constellation.

The point of this thread is the EXPLOIT they are currently using to close off their City Hall so we can not vote, but have to pay taxes.
But to answer your question, a City Hall is not OWNED by any player or guild, but controlled for one week by a Politician.
Sorry for the thread hijack, lets keep this focused on the usage of exploits in the Player Cities. So which is an exploit, whichshould be resolved by a CSR soon:
1. Placing houses outside a city that doesn't allow zoning rights or,
2. Bypassing the radial menu of a City Hall and making the structure private so the new residents default to the current mayor's vote?
I must agree,
In my city I am taking a totally different tack, I scream and yell at my opponeant, yelling at him to get out and that he will never be allowed in this city ( while also quietly granting zoning rights to him and anyone he asks to join ).
We are locked in a mud slinging competition, we have vendors placed in the city that constantly deride the others character.
You guys fret and worry, we are having a blast.
Both should be resolved.
Blocking the terminal is an obvious exploit.
The city radius should be automatically set at maximum at creation. The city just wouldn't be able to utilize all the space until it grew.
This would solve the problem of people griefing by building outside the city and also prevent people from putting up structures with names like " XXXX sucks" etc. and have them being part of the city by default.
Mishap I could not disagree more, they are NOT supposed to be private cities, they never were.
I would agree witht he max size thing, as long as they removed the zoning rightsthing. ![]()
