So at least some of the placers were old UO vets. Hehe UO-R and UO-AoS was such a pain, this land rush was a cakewalk in comparison

I remember standing in the spot I wanted to place my large tower at on UO with about 20 other people, all of us waiting for the deeds to say it was available in Trammel. As soon as we saw a structure fly up, server crashed multiple times. I logged back on when it was finally stable and saw my deed was gone, and my key fit the door of the new tower sitting there.

Was a very happy day, and made $700 ebayin that sucker

Many, Many years of Pen and Paper... then UO... then Asheron's Call... then Dark Age of Camelot... then Starwars. Ready? We had maps printed before patch day.

Ultima Online- The Ultimate SWG Training Game!

I wasn't quite as all-out as you, but I did get screwed in one of the UO land rushes, and I was not going to be stuck in the same boat here

u guess i forgot to mention my strategy...

well I didnt go to sleep (well a 30 minute powernap once i found out for sure the servers wouldnt be back up for at least 2 hours.) But other than that, once the 9pm announcement hit, i didnt sleep until the hall was placed.

I camped out near the trainer in deeja peak, and had all of the components made awaiting a final assembly, and got trained and ran to the shuttle (cause no guildy was on to db me back to kaadara.) Just as i got there, the shuttle took off. so i wait 10 minutes and call my crafting station droid and make the city hall while i wait. I finally get to aadara and 5 minutes later our hall was placed.

So it took me 15 minutes total to get our hall up from servers unlocking.

UO Vet here.

I had a friend architect making the deed for me.

I actually had to log in with my account, get the password for my friend's account, logout, log in with his account. He was next to the trainer already. Got trained, got a shuttle to nearest city. Found a friend there that was supposed to escort me to the place. Another friend was supposed to be next to the architect to kill eventual lairs, but he got to the location after I got. Luckily, no lairs on the spot!

Yes, UO prepared me! I remember getting a log cabin on trammel housing day. It was nightmare!

We got the first city on our server, but that's minor compared to the work ahead of us, if we want to have a nice player city!

I'm onlya5 year UO vet but I remember the land rushes of Trammel and AOS.. Got me a fine house everytime.. And set up my own player build city both times. Nothing as good as what this is becoming here though.I'd say the guild I'm part of has been one of the first to place on Flurry just within 15 minutes after server came up we had the city hall erected.. planning on having great events here once we have all the lovely city stuff people expect..

Welcome to Prado Rio on the Flurry server on Corellia.

UO Vet here.

First time I went to Dantooine Imperial Outpost and saw a house or two down 100m from the startship!!!. Called the whole guild and walled the outpost with our houses and PA Hall within a day or two. That was like a couple of months back.

We rushed it IN FEAR OF OTHER UO VETS.
